I would like to introduce you to an alternative view to the pure garbage that you have been a participant for the past 14 years (that would be my take on it). The sonic view of the music industry in particular the Hip Hop sector.
As a youth growing up in New York City, it was a pleasure to hear the various unique sounds of Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and EPMD. They like so many others, had the ability to paint pictures to the views that were presented around me. Suffice to say those days are long gone. While I have the memories to place a smile on my face, the disgust of what I hear today compelled me to bring forth words of venom. Through the medium of the Internet I have decided to no longer sit idle.
With the collaboration of my friend (RVD aka Mr Versatile) and I (Mr Sandman), together know as J&L. Our words are going to provide an artistic expression of hope, anger, humor, disgust, and resolution to all aspects of music. The ultimate goal is to make things very thought provoking, and hopefully create many instances of dialogue.
Music is our battleground, and through our reviews and editorials we may come to the ultimate conclusion...what really is the official word (The top ten).
